O crescimento pessoal dos militares de carreira sob a ótica da inteligência emocional

Abstract

A Inteligência Emocional (IE) é um tema que vem ganhando destaque no mundo organizacional. Sabe-se que para uma liderança de alta performance é necessário que o líder tenha a IE bem elaborada e trabalhada. Nesse sentido, para quem busca a ascensão profissional e o crescimento é necessário que desenvolva as aptidões emocionais. A IE é compreendida como a capacidade de entender e gerenciar as emoções e também a capacidade de identificar e compreender as emoções nos outros. A IE vem ganhando mais espaço e argumentos ao seu favor, em contrapartida à hegemonia do coeficiente intelectual. Compreende-se que que não basta ser tecnicamente bom somente, é necessário harmonizar as habilidades técnicas e também as emocionais. O ambiente militar também tem atentado a essas questões emocionais, e tem incorporado no seu processo de desenvolvimento de pessoas essa temática. Desse modo, a presente pesquisa tem o objetivo de verificar e expor as análises das habilidades da IE citadas por Goleman e os princípios relacionados à liderança militar que se encontram no manual C 20-10 (BRASIL, 2011), e seus desdobramentos consistem em entender e distinguir os conceitos da inteligência emocional, tanto quanto as habilidades da inteligência emocional descritas por Daniel Goleman, compreender e identificar os princípios empregados pelo Exército Brasileiro a respeito da liderança militar de acordo com manual IP 20-10, verificar a possível relação entre inteligência emocional e o crescimento profissional e pessoal dos Cadetes da Arma de Comunicações, a partir das percepções dos militares e verificar a correspondência entre IE e liderança militar. Para que esses objetivos fossem alcançados com êxito, foram utilizadas a metodologia de pesquisa de campo, foi também foi consultada a literatura, fazendo uma análise entre os apanhados teóricos e o campo empírico por meio da pesquisa. Os resultados apontaram que a IE é de relevância e que o manual tem enfatizado demonstrado isso, oportunizando com que área militar posso discutir e trabalhar os aspectos da inteligência emocional. Em relação aos respondentes foi observado que os mesmos detêm conhecimentos mínimos acerca da IE e compreendem que a inteligência é de extrema relevância para o desenvolvimento e crescimento engajamento da carreira profissional, entretanto, de forma geral, demonstram que ainda têm uma certa dificuldade nas habilidades de se conhecer e também de lidar com as emoções dos outros denotando a necessidade de mais estudos e pesquisas que possam debruçar sobre os fenômenos que estão imbricados na motivação e no seu autoconhecimento. ________________________________________________________________________ _Emotional Intelligence (IE) is a topic that is gaining prominence in the organizational world. In this sense, for those who seek professional advancement and growth, it is necessary to develop emotional skills. EI is understood as the ability to understand and manage emotions and also the ability to identify and understand emotions in others. IE has been gaining more space and arguments in its favor, in contrast to the hegemony of the intellectual coefficient. It is understood that it is not enough to be technically good only, it is necessary to harmonize technical and emotional skills. The military environment has also attacked these emotional issues, and has incorporated this theme into its people development process. Thus, the present research aims to verify and expose the analyzes of IE skills mentioned by Goleman and the principles related to military leadership that are found in manual C 20-10 (BRASIL, 2011), and its consequences consist of understanding and distinguish the concepts of emotional intelligence, as well as the emotional intelligence skills described by Daniel Goleman, understand and identify the principles used by the Brazilian Army regarding military leadership according to manual IP 20-10, check the possible relationship between emotional intelligence and the professional and personal growth of the Cadets of the Communications Weapon, from the perceptions of the military and verify the correspondence between IE and military leadership. In order for these objectives to be achieved successfully, the field research methodology was used, the literature was also consulted, making an analysis between the theoretical catches and the empirical field through the research. The results showed that the EI is relevant and that the manual has emphasized that, providing opportunities for the military to discuss and work on aspects of emotional intelligence. Regarding the respondents, it was observed that they have minimal knowledge about EI and understand that intelligence is extremely relevant for the development and growth of professional career engagement, however, in general, they demonstrate that they still have a certain difficulty in the skills of get to know each other and also to deal with the emotions of others, denoting the need for more studies and research that can address the phenomena that are intertwined in motivation and in their self-knowledge.
